My son was struggling with some powerful emotions due to some big changes in the family home. It was heart-breaking to see him angry, frustrated and sad most of the time. Our family life had become so stressful and going out together was an impossibility. We worked with Sunlight Families who helped us with parenting, offered play therapy and counselling. Sherin and Allie have an ability to understand children and relationships and I now understand my son in a way I never knew I could. My home is a happy place once again and we enjoy our days out; the difference is unrecognisable. Shannon - East Sussex view

Sherin helped me and my children in the aftermath of my marriage breakdown. At a time when things were scary and uncertain for my children Sherin brought clarity and reinstated me as head of my family. I learned coping strategies that enabled me to understand my children's behaviour and deal with the turmoil they felt. Sherin helped me create a safe, calm and happy environment for my children when they needed it most. Sherin also helped my daughter through play therapy sessions. This enabled my daughter to understand herself and her feelings better and in particular they worked on her self-esteem which has shown fantastic results. Sherin very quickly formed a lovely bond with my daughter and she gained a lot from these sessions. view

Sherin started working with our family back in 2014. I clicked straight away with Sherin from the moment we met. She brought calm back to my head and to our house, and her continued support has been amazing. She is currently working with my children in play therapy through a difficult time at home, and they are all coming on in leaps and bounds. I highly recommend her; everyone needs a Sherin in their life!

Allie enabled me to make the most of the last times I had with my step-father and to express what I wanted to say to him before he passed away. She has also subsequently helped me to remember him in a peaceful, rather than self-critical way. I see her as a compassionate, patient and wise person. Very unusually for me, I feel comfortable in discussing my feelings and personal issues with Allie

Before my sessions, I felt I lacked confidence and wasn't very motivated. Over time with working with Sherin, I have changed in how I see myself (for the better) and the world around me. I am very happy that I chose to go through this process. She is really friendly, and a lovely person and I feel I can trust her with absolutely anything

Allie has a remarkable ability to listen, to understand and to support others, to encourage them to grow where they are strong and to nurture them in times of need. Allie does not tell you what to do. She creates a space where your emotions are able to be expressed and she holds this space open for as long as it takes, so that a person can look at themselves kindly but honestly. She asks the questions that enable you to find the answers for yourself. Allie has great insight into human behaviour and she is not at all judgmental of others. She is patient, honest and kind. I strongly commend Allie Gulliver to work with families going through difficult times. My own specific experience through a recent bereavement indicates that Allie will be a great source of strength to such a family, enabling them to build positive strategies that will not only make a significant difference but also be long lasting, indeed potentially life changing.

Our daughter suffered from lots of anxiety almost on a daily basis that manifested itself with terrible anger. This was not only upsetting for our daughter but led to a very unhappy household, affecting her sister and us, her parents. Through attending play therapy our daughter has learnt to understand her fears and now manages to express her worries in a less destructive manner. She is muh, much happier and so are we. Its a great relief to have found Sherin as although our Doctor was supportive her hands were tied as to what hep they could offer us. Its great to know also that if in the future our daughter required some more therapy she would be prepared and happy to return to Playspace Therapy. -Lynne, Eastbourne view
